The benefits of remote bookkeeping

A remote bookkeeper does the same work as an in-house one, with less cost and less to manage.

Lower cost

No salary, payroll taxes, software seats or office space. You pay a flat monthly fee for the work.

No hiring risk

No recruiting, training or covering for sick days and vacations. The work is done every month.

Cloud access, always

Your books live in QuickBooks Online or Xero. You can log in and see them any time.

Time-zone advantage

Based in India, I can process and reconcile your books while the US sleeps, so reports are ready in your morning.

One person, one point of contact

You talk to the person who actually does your books. No account-manager layers.

Scales with you

Start small, then move to a bigger plan as your transaction volume grows. No long-term contract.

Safe access

You stay the owner. I work through invitations with limited roles that you can remove at any time.

Paper-free

Receipts and statements are shared through secure links or your cloud apps, not mailed or hand-delivered.

Remote vs in-house

Hiring in-house

  • Work stops when someone is out
  • Quality depends on one hire
  • Hard to scale down in a slow season
  • Needs supervision from you or a manager

How remote bookkeeping works

Four steps, repeated every month.

1

Free review

You send me a short note about your business, software and goals. No cost, no commitment.

2

Secure access

You invite me to QuickBooks Online or Xero with a limited role. You stay in control.

3

Monthly rhythm

I categorize and reconcile your accounts each month and send questions instead of guessing.

4

Reports and review

You receive your monthly reports and a short check-in. Your CPA gets clean books at year end.

Is remote safe?

Your data stays protected

  • You own your books. I work only inside your own QuickBooks or Xero account.
  • Access is by invitation with a limited user role, and you can remove it any time.
  • Bank connections go through QuickBooks or Xero. I never need your bank password.
  • NDA available on request.
  • For anything sensitive, we agree on a secure way to share files before work begins.

Common questions

Can you really work with US businesses from India?

Yes. Cloud software means the location of the bookkeeper does not change the work. I have been doing US bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online and Xero, and I agree a check-in time that suits you.

How do we communicate?

In writing: email and messages. Every decision, question and answer is on record. Questions about transactions are collected and sent together, so you are not interrupted all month.

What about time zones?

Most of the work happens while you are offline, so your books progress overnight. We agree on a regular reporting day instead of meetings across time zones.

Do I have to give you my bank login?

No. Bank feeds are connected through QuickBooks Online or Xero. I only need an invited user role.

Is this a CPA firm?

No. I am an independent bookkeeper. Tax advice and filings stay with your CPA or tax preparer, and I can work under their oversight.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. We start with a free written review and a plan matched to your transaction volume.

See if remote is right for you

Send me a message. I will explain in writing how it would work for your business, with no cost and no commitment.
